from broken heart and psychotic mood to the reaches of new life and enlightenment, i have walked the distance and found my influences wanting. not stimulus or wealth but order; simply release from neglect, to regain my independance from an abusive lifestyle and sew fresh inspiration at home, where the heart lies. my givens are in order and i can keep my big mouth shut, should it serve me well. but never will i again forget the lesson learned. the joy of gazing with fresh eyes on the new topics is enough to excite my being into existance one more...

i only decided to become an author at 26 and even though i had already written my first autobiographical novel, 'dead city streets.' i could not find a publisher... several rejection letters later, it was suggested i try to find a mental health publisher for my work and so after searching the internet, i found the chipmunka foundation and found a medium that would support my efforts to get my voice heard.

thanks to jason pegler, andrew latchford, paul kirven and the chipmunka team i found there were others' out there who also wanted the world to read what they had to say about mental health issues and their time spent under psychiatric care. and so the story was born, as was my first novel out of love, commitment and determination to have the mental health debate laid bare by those who had suffered tormented visions of abuse, violence and hostility: as well as the real concerns of homelessness, drug addiction and poverty
